How To Prepare Your Dog For A Road Trip.

Get your dog used to car travel with a few test drives.

Visit the vet before your trip for a health checkup to prepare your dog for the road trip.

Bring everything a dog needs for travelling, including a bowl, food, water, leash, collar, treats, medicine, blankets, toys, supplements, and above all a name tag for the collar.

A large lunch right before your trip should be avoided for your dog. Prior to traveling, make sure the dog has eaten at least four hours.

Keep your dog calm by playing soothing music or by giving him a chew toy to work on during the drive

It may be necessary to occasionally roll down your windows to let in some fresh air because dogs can become restless in closed, air-conditioned cars.

Don't forget to feed your dog water and let him out every two to three hours so he may discharge himself.
