Healthy Food You Can Eat During This Navratri Fasting 2023

Navratri fasting is beginning from Sunday, October 15, 2023.Here is the guide to what you can eat during fasting.

Flours and Grains

Grains like wheat and rice are to be avoided in Navratri fasting. Instead using Kuttu, Singhare , Rajgira ka Atta and Samai or Sabudana  Ke Chawal.

Fruits

You can eat all types of fruits during Navratri fasting. 

Spices and Herbs 

During Navratri, sendha namak is used instead of regular table salt. Cumin, black pepper, ajwain, and dry mango powder are used species.

Vegetables 

vegetables during the Navratri fast are potatoes, sweet potatoes, arbi, kachalu, suran, or yam, lemons, raw or semi-ripe pumpkin, raw pumpkin etc,

Dairy products 

The majority of dairy products are consumed during the Navratri fast, including curd, paneer, white butter, ghee and recipes with milk and khoya.

Cooking Oil

Always use desi ghee or peanut oil. Avoid using Refined oil.
